One badminton racket or a full set?

Most products on this page are indoor court shoes, and the rackets come in two forms. The sets give you rackets and shuttlecocks in one bag:

• TATO 2-Attacker Set: two 53 cm Attacker rackets, two nylon shuttlecocks and a carry bag, made for beginners and casual players.
• TATO 2-Attacker Junior Set: two 53 cm Attacker rackets and two nylon shuttlecocks in a carry bag, for beginners and recreational players.
• TATO 4-Attacker Set Plus: four Attacker rackets, three shuttlecocks and a 19 mm net post set, made for group play with family and friends.
• Schildkrot 2-Player Set: two steel rackets with wooden handles, two shuttlecocks and a 3/4 cover, for casual games at the park, beach or backyard.

The single rackets are from Wilson. The Wilson Impact is a recreational racket suited to beginners, with a 1/2 cover for the head. The Wilson Recon 370 is a carbon fibre racket that weighs 75 g unstrung (4U), with a head heavy balance and a 22x22 string pattern.

Which shuttlecock comes in the bag?

It depends on the set. The TATO sets come with nylon shuttlecocks with an improved cork head. The Schildkrot set has plastic shuttlecocks with a foam head. To stock up, the Wilson Dropshot comes in a tube of six, with a nylon skirt, a natural cork-composite base and a bright coating that is easy to see inside or out.

Court shoes for fast indoor play

The shoes here are indoor court shoes from adidas and ASICS, built for quick cuts and sudden changes of direction. The adidas Speedcourt has a rubber outsole that grips flat surfaces. The adidas Ligra 8 pairs a synthetic leather and mesh upper with an Adituff toe. The ASICS Gel-Tactic 13 uses a large side wall, called Stabletruss, for side-to-side moves, and the Blade FF 2 is a lightweight shoe made to help you move faster.

If you are starting badminton at home, take the TATO 4-Attacker Set Plus: four rackets and a net post set in one bag. For more court shoes, see badminton footwear and indoor shoes, or try squash.
