How big a pencil case do you need?

Start with what has to fit inside. The pencil cases on this page come in a few clear sizes:

• CUBS 1L: one roomy main compartment in a slim shape that slides into a backpack's front pocket. Many CUBS prints come in this size.
• CUBS medium: 22 x 12 x 5 cm on the listings that give a size, and CUBS says it can hold 20 pens.
• CUBS Khaki Double Zipper 2L: twice the 1L size, with a second zip pocket.
• JanSport Large Accessory Pouch: 1.3 L in two compartments, so pens go on one side and chargers or cables on the other.
• adidas Two Zipper Pencil Case: 8 x 22 x 10 cm with two zips for easy access.

One zip, two zips or a flip-open case?

A single zip keeps things simple. Two zips let you split pens from small supplies, as on the adidas Two Zipper case and the CUBS double-zipper styles. The Naqsha cases open a different way: a 2-side flip-open design gives access to both halves, and Naqsha says the exterior and interior are waterproof.

Which pencil cases are made in Egypt?

Some CUBS cases are made here. The CUBS medium cases list a 900D high-strength polyester outer with a waterproof coating, and the Junior Student Graffiti and Dino Roar listings say they are made in Egypt. CUBS prints run from dinosaurs and robots to tie-dye, unicorns and racing cars.

For a child starting school, pick a CUBS 1L case: it fits a backpack's front pocket and holds the daily kit. Then find a bag in kids bags, see the full CUBS range, or shop the back to school collection.
