How to put a table tennis set together

A table tennis set is built from a table, a net, bats and balls. Here each part is sold on its own, so you can match the set to your space and level.

• Table: the Donic Schildkrot Spacetec is an indoor table with the net built in, a 16 mm playing surface, four twin wheels (two steerable) and a holder for bats and balls. It plays at 274 x 152.5 x 76 cm and stores at 152.5 x 69 x 163 cm. The Solex table is a full-size two-piece table, 108 x 60 x 30 inches, with a 15 mm MDF top and leg levelers.
• Net: the Donic Schildkrot Classic net has length-adjustable holders with a screw fastening. It fits tables 152.5 cm wide with a top 15 to 65 mm thick.
• Balls: the 2T Club and T-One boxes hold six hard training balls for training and school play. The Avantgarde and Prestige boxes hold three balls for advanced recreational play and training.

Which bat for your level?

The Donic Schildkrot bats here climb by sponge thickness. A thinner sponge gives more control, a thicker one more speed.

Learning and control: the Waldner Level 400 (1.5 mm sponge, rated speed 40 and control 80) and the Sensation 500 (1.5 mm, speed 50, control 80). All-round: the Sensation 600 (1.6 mm), the Waldner 600 (1.8 mm) and the Sensation 700 (1.8 mm, rated 70 for speed, spin and control). Attack: the Top Team 900 (2.0 mm), the Legends 1000 (2.3 mm) and the Carbotec 7000, a 100% carbon bat with a 2.3 mm sponge.

The Sensation bats add an Anti Shock Grip, a foam handle cover that cuts vibration and absorbs sweat.
