Dunk Low or Dunk High

The Nike Dunk started as a mid-'80s basketball shoe. Skaters adopted it later, and Nike says the Dunk Low helped define sneaker culture. Here it comes in two heights. The Dunk Low has a padded, low-cut collar. The Dunk High has a padded high-top collar with the same old-school look. Most pairs on this page are Dunk Lows.

Retro, SE, Next Nature and Premium

The word after the name tells you what changed. Nike says the synthetic leather upper on the men's Dunk Low Retro softens and gains vintage character with wear. The men's Dunk Low Retro SE mixes leather and suede on the upper.

Nike says two women's Next Nature pairs, the green and white one and the pink one, are made with at least 20% recycled materials by weight. The men's Dunk Low Premium is built on tumbled leather, and the women's Dunk Low Twist adds modern design details to the classic shape.

Sizes from baby to adult

Dunks here come in five size groups. Baby and toddler pairs run from 21 to 27, and the black and white pair has easy elastic laces. Little kids' pairs run from 28 to 35, and the Dunk Low x LEGO pair closes with hook-and-loop. Big kids' pairs run from 35 1/2 to 40. Women's pairs run from 36 to 42 1/2, and men's from 41 to 47. More styles for children are in kids' lifestyle shoes.

If you are buying your first Dunks, start with a classic two-colour Dunk Low, like the women's white and black pair. For a toddler, the Dunk Low with elastic laces is the easy choice.
