Pre-workout shot, sachet or tub?

The pre-workouts here come in several formats, and the format is the easiest place to start. Most listings give the pack size and flavour.

• Single liquid shots: the Max Muscle Pre Shot is one 60 ml serving, in watermelon or bubblegum.
• Packs of shots: Building Blox BOLT pre-workout shots and ON Energy Shots come in packs of 15, in flavours such as blueberry, cola twist, cherry cola, mango peach and grapes.
• Single-serve sachets: a 9 g, one-serving pack of Challenger Nutrition Pump.
• Powder tubs: Challenger Nutrition Pump and Muscle Add Black Mirror come in 30-serving tubs, Max Muscle The Storm in a 480 g tub of 30 servings, Red Rex Stomp in 26 servings and Max Muscle No Joke in 60 servings.

Black Mirror, No Joke or Pump?

Several brands here are made in Egypt, according to their listings: Challenger Nutrition, Max Muscle, Muscle Add and Red Rex, which is made by Big Ramy Labs. No Joke Hardcore is Max Muscle's Reda Ragab Signature Series. Black Mirror from Muscle Add comes in Blue Razz, 270 g. Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Pre-Workout is also here.

How to compare pre-workouts

Compare servings per pack, flavour and format. Some listings also give the ingredients and the maker's directions for use, so read the label on the pack you choose before you buy.

If you want to try a pre-workout without buying a tub, start with a single Max Muscle Pre Shot or the one-serving Pump sachet. Pick a tub once you know the flavour you like. You can also browse training supplements or all supplements, or see the Pre collection.
