Running, walking or everyday: which Skechers for men?

Most Skechers men's shoes are lifestyle shoes, but the running and walking lines are built differently. Start with what you will do in them.

• Running: the GO RUN Consistent 2.0 has an ULTRA LIGHT midsole with M-Strike and No Tie Fit laces that never come untied. The GO RUN Now adds Hands Free Slip-ins and Air-Cooled Goga Mat cushioning. The Max Cushioning Endeavour has a Max Cushioning midsole for extra comfort.
• Walking: the GO WALK Flex pairs an Air-Cooled Goga Mat insole with Ultra Go cushioning and a very flexible outsole. The GO WALK Glide-Step 2.0 adds a Glide-Step midsole and Slip-ins.
• Everyday: the Summits, Track and BOBS shoes use Memory Foam insoles, and the Summits and Track slip on easily. The Skech-Air Dynamight 2.0 has an air-cushioned Skech-Air midsole.
• Outdoor: the Summits AT has a high-traction outsole with flex grooves. The Hillcrest 2.0 has a water-repellent mesh upper and a trail outsole.

Memory Foam or Goga Mat: the insole

Skechers uses two main insoles. Memory Foam gives soft cushioning that adapts to your foot; the Air-Cooled version adds breathability. Air-Cooled Goga Mat gives breathable, high-rebound cushioning and sits in most GO WALK and several GO RUN shoes.

Slip-ins, stretch laces and sizes

Hands Free Slip-ins are made for an easy, effortless fit, and the Heel Pillow holds your foot securely. Shoes with No Tie Fit or fixed stretch laces, like the Summits, also slip on. Sizes run from 40 to 48 1/2, and some Summits come in a wide fit.

For running, start with the GO RUN Consistent 2.0. For long walks, the GO WALK Flex is the comfortable pick. See more in men's running, walking shoes and slip-on shoes.
