Hands Free Slip-ins: step in and go

Many pairs here are Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins. As the name says, they are made to put on without using your hands. Skechers says the Heel Pillow at the back gives easy wear and holds your heel securely. You will find Slip-ins across Go Walk, Glide-Step, Summits and BOBS shoes. More easy-on styles are in slip-on shoes.

What is under your foot

The feature names on each shoe tell you what the insole and midsole are. Skechers Memory Foam insoles appear on more shoes here than any other, including Air-Cooled Memory Foam on the Glide-Step Pursuit and the Edgeride. Go Walk shoes such as the Go Walk 8 pair an Air-Cooled Goga Mat insole with ULTRA GO cushioning and high-rebound Ultra Pillars.

Arch Fit models, like the Arch Fit Summits and the Go Walk Arch Fit N-Joy, have a removable Arch Fit insole built around arch support. For running, the Max Cushioning Endeavour adds ULTRA LIGHT cushioning and Natural Rocker Technology, which Skechers says gives a smooth heel-to-toe transition.

Walking shoes, running shoes and flats

Most pairs here are lifestyle sneakers for everyday wear. There are also walking shoes, Go Run and Max Cushioning running shoes, and flat skimmers like the On-The-GO Flex, with a Stretch Fit knit upper. Several styles are machine washable, including the Edgeride, the Summits and the On-The-GO Flex. Find walking styles in women's walking shoes.

If you walk a lot every day, start with a Go Walk shoe with Hands Free Slip-ins. If you want an everyday sneaker, pick a BOBS or Summits pair.
