Club, League, Messi or Hyperfast

Every boot here is an adidas F50, and the second word in the name tells you the version. Club boots have a supportive Fiberskin upper with a perforated tongue. League boots lock your foot in with a stretchy tongue, which adidas calls a Tunnel Tongue on the League Turf. The Messi boots are part of a collection adidas built around Lionel Messi's on-pitch needs, with a lightweight tongue to keep weight down. The Hyperfast boots have a speed-optimised synthetic upper with a debossed texture for a precise touch.

For women, the F50 Sparkfusion Club Mid Cut uses Fusionlast, which adidas says gives a better fit for the female foot. Find it with the rest in women's football shoes.

Pick the sole for your pitch

The letters after the name tell you which surface the sole is made for. Firm Ground / Multi Ground (FG/MG) studs give traction on natural grass and artificial pitches. Turf boots are made for artificial turf, and the Messi Club Turf sits on a lug rubber outsole. Indoor boots, like the F50 Club Indoor, are designed for indoor courts. Kids' F50 boots

More than half of the F50 boots here are for kids. Kids' sizes start at 28, and adult sizes run in thirds, like 39 1/3, 40 and 40 2/3. For young players, the F50 Hyperfast Club and the F50 Messi Club also come with a Velcro strap instead of laces, from size 28. The F50 Messi League Laceless has no laces at all. Browse them in kids' football shoes.

If you play on grass or a firm pitch, start with an F50 Club FG/MG. If most of your games are on artificial turf, pick a Turf model.
